What are your top three, any time of the year, (calories don't count, this time) absolute, favorite desserts?
I'll start: Fresh apple pie with ice cream Lemon bars Strawberry roll with fresh berries and real whipped cream... Oh, and for a chaser, something chocolate! LOL

Summer fruit pudding Sherry trifle The last one is more difficult but it has to be Christmas pudding, it must come flaming to the table and be served with custard!

Ice cream sundae with ALL the toppings Cheesecake Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Jamiecatheryn...once a year I HAVE to have a rhubarb custard pie. With just a tiny pinch of nutmeg. And, of course, a scoop of ice cream.

Some people are just show-offs...just kidding, Skandi! They all look yummy! I've had the other two, but have never had traditional Christmas pudding. Americans just don't do the steamed/boiled/baked puddings much like they do in Britain and Europe. I think we've missed something really good with that.

I was just thinking, all these things are yummy, but what can top a big slice of freshly baked bread with some real butter? I know my Mom said when they were in prison camp they didn't dream of fancy foods: they longed for things like bread and potatoes.

1) Any kind of creamy custardy thing like flan, creme caramel, tapioca, plain ol' custard or vanilla pudding. 2) Pie of almost any sort: apple, blueberry, mincemeat, lemon meringue 3) Gingerbread with hot lemon sauce.
Or a perfect mango!
