Melissa, I probably will need your help getting the pics shared from FB to here. I put them up there, but even I can't view them without being logged in--I posted a link, logged out of FB and tried the link (didn't work) so have deleted the link for now until I get it figured out.

krisinmi, Do you have an Imgur account? I just put the pictures on my computer then go to Imgur and share them there. They have a BROUSE feature that you use to find anything you have on your computer. Once they are on your Imgur page looking at the picture you just click the COPY LINK button

I used to have a photo bucket account for posting pics online until they started charging for it. I will have to look into Imgur

I think some put the pictures in a private folder in Facebook, and then link to that?

I think some put the pictures in a private folder in Facebook, and then link to that? That's what I tried. So, unless there's a step I missed, having it private vs public didn't work.

The link won't work. You have to get the properties of the photo then upload it here.
Can I see them on facebook?

They are all very nice. I love that little bird. I was actually looking for a piece of fabric that I thought I had that looked like that but I could not find it! It's in the stash somewhere!!!!

You know, I like how you put the blocks together for the pictures. I may use that as a guide for laying out the quilt.

You know, I like how you put the blocks together for the pictures. I may use that as a guide for laying out the quilt. . Mostly that is just how they came to me and ended up on the stack. They do seem to have groups of a common theme, coordinating color, etc. So many options for a final layout: rows by color, rows by theme (9-patch, star, strips, large focal point, etc), scattered randomly with like blocks on the corners. . . Please do post a picture of what you decide on for a layout.

krisinmi , Rustaholic , midtnmama , Melissa , feather , mzgarden , dw , Cindy in NY , farmchix , Each of your blocks have inspired my MIL and I to take your ideas and "Plant" them elsewhere. I don't remember which one of you did the nine patch on point, but MIL had a box of 31 ninepatch and you inspired her to turn them into nine patch on point. I'm posting this because it is very hard and fiddly to get everything to line up perfectly. She found an easy way to do the nine patch on point that is quick, easy and you don't have to be perfect to have the points come together. See especially starting at 6:00 www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-uR6pp9kRMHope this helps someone. I'll post this as a separate thread so others, not on this thread can find it. BTW, her easy bow tie quilt is just beautiful and we cut and sewed it quickly using fabrics we had on hand. Last, I'm having fun sewing the sashing between your beautiful blocks! Thank you!

krisinmi , Rustaholic , midtnmama , Melissa , feather , mzgarden , dw , Cindy in NY , farmchix , Just letting you know that I am slowly getting this quilt done. In the meantime, my motherinlaw has finished four quilts, haha. But then, she is doing that while I care for their yard and home as well as my own. I sewed the blocks together saving two or three extras to make pillows or a table runner. Those had colors a little different from the others but I love them so! Two would look great on my dining room table. I suppose I could have made a few more and made a bigger quilt... Anyway, I am in the process of quilting it now. Then, I'll add do the edge finishing. I don't want to post pictures until I have the pillows/table runner done too. Hope you are quilting away!

krisinmi, Rustaholic, midtnmama, Melissa, feather, mzgarden, dw, Cindy in NY, farmchix, Mari-in-IN,@ljsunflower, It is almost half-quilted. But there have been multiple family illnesses, death(1), end of life caregiving, and impending deaths (2). So many other things have been happening on top of this (flooded basement), car accidents (not us) which involved property damage to our farm (2),break-in (plus property damage).... That's just the last month or so.... Think we may be being taught lesson. Not sure what it is:) So you won't see me hereabouts for awhile, but I do try to check in now and then. So, it will be awhile before I can finish, but it will happen and I will post the picture! Take care, everyone. Life is precious.
