Daniel! I'm just in from the tending the critters and picking some garden goodies. I had a swallow of water in my mouth and almost gave my computer a shower. Henceforth and forever more, I will be sure my mouth is empty before I read these jokes--yours or anybody else's!

I have tried several different ways and I still can't post a photo here. Will one of you please tell me how you do it?

If you want to post a picture that's somewhere else on the web, click the Insert Image button and enter the image's URL. If the picture is on your computer, you can drag & drop it into the Compose box. But, for me at least, that only works on the main Create Post window, not in the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread. And before you drop it, you have to wait until the cursor changes from the circle with a slash to an arrow.

We have enough of a bear population these days, that this is a distinct possibility. Not long ago, the grass in our front field had become so tall, I told DH I expected to see a brontosaurus cross it. He laughed and said he expected to see a bear. That didn't give me warm fuzzy feelings one bit. I hope bears are afraid of big white dogs.

This tickles me no end. That ain't the kind of "fan" in question. Does anybody remember a show called "Mythbusters"? DH watched it all the time but I just saw 2, later 4 guys, and a girl who were just little boys who loved to blow up things. Anyway, one day they wanted to bust the manure hitting the fan myth. They used all sorts of air circulating mechanisms and farm folk that we are, we just jeered them. The fan in question in the case of being hit by manure, is a part on a manure spreader--a spiral that reverses in the middle so when the manure is pushed into it by metal spikes on a revolving cylinder, the manure really does get spread quite well. Once in a while, some hits the operator driving the tractor. That's why we prefer to spread fairly dry manure. Don't ask how we came to that conclusion.
